Kalanchoe gastonis-bonnieri is a succulent plant with thick, fleshy green leaves that often display brownish spots. Its leaves grow in a rosette pattern and are notably shaped like donkey ears, giving rise to one of its common names. A distinctive feature is its ability to produce plantlets (bulbils) at the tips of mature leaves, which can drop and root nearby. This species is often confused with Kalanchoe suarezensis and Kalanchoe mortagei, but differs by its characteristic leaf spotting.
