Campyloneurum phyllitidis is a large epiphytic fern that grows on tree canopies. It features a robust rhizome covered in dark reddish-brown scales and produces simple, hairless, strap-like leaves measuring 45–100 cm (18–39 in) in length and 8–12 cm (3.1–4.7 in) in width. The leaves display distinctive round, small sori (spore clusters) arranged on both sides of their lateral veins. Its epiphytic growth habit and elongated fronds make it visually striking in its natural habitat and in cultivation.
