Urbanscapes Native Plant Nursery

Urbanscapes Native Plant Nursery, located in New Haven, CT, is dedicated to promoting local biodiversity through native plants. The nursery is a project of the Menunkatuck Audubon Society in partnership with the Community Placemaking and Engagement Network (CPEN). The nursery actively engages with young people in the community, providing them with opportunities to grow native plants. Urbanscapes specializes in native perennials and shrubs, with a focus on supporting pollinator habitats. Many of the plants grown are used to create butterfly gardens within the Newhallville neighborhood and are donated to local homeowners to establish pollinator patches. The nursery is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 AM to 12 PM and Saturdays from 9:30 AM to 12 PM.
